Sketchbook No. 03
Some books are made to be used. This one is made to be kept.
The cover is double marbled paper — a process in which pigment is floated and manipulated on water, then transferred to the sheet. Twice. The result is this: deep purples, copper, and blue-grey in a pattern that will not repeat. Ever. Sourced from [artist name/Instagram], whose work stopped us mid-scroll.
Inside, [spec] watercolor paper — [weight, pages] — bound in the Coptic tradition. The exposed spine shows the stitching openly, a hallmark of the method. Like the long-stitch, it opens completely flat. Unlike most bindings, it has no glue in the spine at all.
The fore edge is deckled — cut with a vintage deckle-edge cutter of West German provenance — giving the pages a soft, irregular finish that suits the handmade spirit of the whole.
At 9 × 7", it's a proper landscape-format sketchbook. Hardcover. Built to last.
