PUSH
PUSH is a color photograph of a door detail at the Arizona Biltmore, Phoenix. A warm honey-toned wood door fills the frame, its grain fine and even. A substantial polished brass push plate, its surface gleaming and architectural, includes a small oval button in Cherokee Red, with the word PUSH in relief. The door is ajar, revealing a sliver of darker interior space beyond the frame. The hardware is modest in scale but immaculate in design — the kind of detail that separates a great building from a merely expensive one; at the Biltmore, even the instruction to enter is elegant.
It is an original fine art photograph by Rick Graves, printed on exhibition-quality paper with Epson SureColor pigment inks. Hand-packed and shipped from our local post office in Spring Green, WI.
