NARROW VIEW is a color photograph of a tall, narrow Gothic arch window set into a dark interior wall, shot from inside so that the leaded diamond-pane glazing glows against a bright, overcast exterior light. The window is divided into three lancet-like registers by horizontal glazing bars, the lead cames forming a diagonal diamond grid across all three. The surrounding wall is deep red brick with stone dressings at the arch and sill, darkened by age and interior shadow; to the left, a blind arch of the same profile echoes the window's shape in solid stone. The light through the glass is cool and diffuse, and the room beyond the frame is very dark.
The image is an original fine art photograph by Rick Graves, printed on exhibition-quality paper with Epson SureColor pigment inks. Hand-packed and shipped from our local post office in Spring Green, WI.
