Kitchen Deliveries

KITCHEN DELIVERIES is a color photograph of a weathered brick service wall at Highclere Castle, England. A planked wooden door, painted deep cobalt blue, stands left of center, its surface chipped and worn, fitted with a simple round knob and a small latch plate. The surrounding brickwork is aged red and ochre, the mortar crumbling in places, the wall stained and patched with centuries of use. A small white sign to the right reads 'Kitchen Deliveries' and a scrap of timber lies at the base of the door. The image is quietly subversive — 'Downton Abbey' seen from the tradesmen's entrance.

It is an original fine art photograph by Rick Graves, printed on exhibition-quality paper with Epson SureColor pigment inks. Hand-packed and shipped from our local post office in Spring Green, WI.
